Share an easy sunset boat trip from Chania Old Harbor and watch the Venetian waterfront, lighthouse and coastline glow in the evening light.
This shared sunset cruise is made for travellers who want a relaxed evening at sea without booking a full private charter. Join a small-group boat trip from Chania, settle in on deck and enjoy the cooler hours of the day as the harbour slowly changes colour.
The route focuses on the Chania coastline and the atmosphere around the old Venetian harbour. Expect gentle cruising, open sea views, photo-friendly sunset light and an easy pace that suits couples, friends and solo travellers.
It is a simple way to add a memorable sea experience to your Chania stay: no long transfer, no full-day commitment and no need to organise a private group. Availability and final departure time are confirmed after your request, based on the season and sunset schedule.
During the peak season (June to September), booking several weeks in advance is highly recommended, especially for private charters and luxury yachts. Popular boats and destinations such as Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa often sell out well before the travel date.
Guest safety is always the top priority. If weather conditions are unsuitable for the planned trip, the operator may offer an alternative route, reschedule the excursion, or provide a refund according to the cancellation policy of the specific boat trip.
Crete offers access to some of the island's most spectacular coastal destinations, including Balos Lagoon, Gramvousa Island, Menies Beach, Thodorou Island, Seitan Limania, Elafonissi, Loutro, Marmara Beach, Agia Roumeli, and many secluded bays that are only accessible by sea.
All boat trips include a professional skipper, fuel for the planned itinerary, safety equipment, and insurance. Most cruises also include meals, drinks, snorkeling equipment, and SUP boards, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing day at sea. Specific inclusions are listed on each boat trip page.
For the most enjoyable experience, we recommend bringing swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a light jacket for the return journey. Don't forget your camera to capture Crete's stunning coastline, crystal-clear waters, and hidden beaches. If meals and drinks are not included in your trip, you may also wish to bring snacks and water.
