Some of the best days on the water happen on a smaller scale. Built for groups of up to nine, this boat offers an intimate and flexible cruising experience — easy to move around, simple to enjoy, and capable of reaching the kind of quiet, out-of-the-way spots that only a boat this size can find. No crowds, no compromise.

Stops along the way

  • Coastal panorama overlooking the bay and the unique village settlement of Agia Roumeli, Crete.

    Samaria gorge

Discover the Samaria Gorge from a unique perspective — aboard a motorboat cruising along the Libyan Sea. Instead of hiking the 16 km trail, you'll admire the gorge's towering cliffs and dramatic landscape from the water, getting up close to one of Crete's most iconic natural wonders without breaking a sweat. A perfect trip for families, couples, and anyone who wants to experience the magic of Samaria Gorge in a completely different way.

  • Coastal views of Marmara, showing dramatic cliffs meeting the deep blue waters off the Cretan shore.

    Marmara beach

A secluded white-pebble beach at the mouth of the Aradena Gorge, carpeted in polished marble stones and accessible by boat or a challenging coastal hike.

  • Crystal clear Aegean waters meeting the dry, rugged cliffs of the Cretan coast during a summer day trip.

    Agios Pavlos

A remote golden-sand beach on Crete's southern coast, framed by dramatic sand dunes and the deep blue of the Libyan Sea.

    Domata beach

Domata is a pristine, remote beach on Crete's south coast, reachable only by boat or a demanding hike, where golden sand meets the crystal-clear waters of the Libyan Sea.

  • Quaint harbor and traditional white houses of Loutro village, set against the deep blue waters of the southern Cretan coast.

    Loutro village

Loutro is a charming, car-free village on the southern coast of Crete, accessible only by boat or on foot. Nestled in a sheltered bay between steep cliffs and the deep blue of the Libyan Sea, its whitewashed buildings and unhurried way of life offer one of the most genuinely restful experiences on the island. Loutro is the place to come when the rest of Crete starts to feel too busy.

FAQs

During the peak season (June to September), booking several weeks in advance is highly recommended, especially for private charters and luxury yachts. Popular boats and destinations such as Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa often sell out well before the travel date.

Guest safety is always the top priority. If weather conditions are unsuitable for the planned trip, the operator may offer an alternative route, reschedule the excursion, or provide a refund according to the cancellation policy of the specific boat trip.

Crete offers access to some of the island's most spectacular coastal destinations, including Balos Lagoon, Gramvousa Island, Menies Beach, Thodorou Island, Seitan Limania, Elafonissi, Loutro, Marmara Beach, Agia Roumeli, and many secluded bays that are only accessible by sea.

All boat trips include a professional skipper, fuel for the planned itinerary, safety equipment, and insurance. Most cruises also include meals, drinks, snorkeling equipment, and SUP boards, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing day at sea. Specific inclusions are listed on each boat trip page.

For the most enjoyable experience, we recommend bringing swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a light jacket for the return journey. Don't forget your camera to capture Crete's stunning coastline, crystal-clear waters, and hidden beaches. If meals and drinks are not included in your trip, you may also wish to bring snacks and water.

What a fantastic day trip! The transition from the dramatic scenery near Sfakia to the stunning coastline around Domata was breathtaking. The crew were incredibly helpful, making us feel totally at home, and the snorkeling spots were crystal clear—I swam until my fingers pruned! We also found the little hidden coves perfect for relaxing and enjoyed a superb, fresh Greek lunch right on the beach. Highly recommended for a taste of Crete's magic!

The "Sfakia to Domata day tour" was absolutely magical; we spent the entire day floating between breathtaking turquoise waters and dramatic Cretan scenery. The crew were fantastic, always making us feel like guests rather than just tourists, and we spent the afternoon snorkeling in unbelievably clear spots. While the boat ride itself was perfect, I would have loved a bit more time relaxing on the beaches, but even the delicious lunch and the sheer beauty made it unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience the wild, stunning south coast of Crete!
